How To Train Your Dragon LIVE

Posted at 9:02 am on July 19, 2012 by Farrah

During our last trip to Florida, we had a near miss with Tropical Storm Debby giving us a couple days of rainy weather that kept us inside, looking for things to do.  On a Walmart run to find things to keep my boys busy, I saw the movie How To Train Your Dragon and it seemed like something they’d like or at the very least would occupy a wet afternoon.  Little did I know it would launch us into a whole new realm of little-boy obsession!  And they definitely are.. OBSESSED!

After watching the movie, we got the books from the library (movie is based on the first of a set of seven books all about this Viking boy named Hiccup and his adventures with dragons and his friends) and are now working our way through the series with both boys (ages 6 and almost 4).  They love it and my Hubby and I do too.

And just to add icing on the cake, the Dreamworks How To Train Your Dragon LIVE Spectacular is coming to Chicago in just a week!!  To say that my boys are excited would be a gross understatement!!  Flying robotic dragons, seeing the story they love acted out before their very eyes….  Not much better than that!  There will be 23 fire-breathing dragons that swoop and soar directly over the audience.  The entire environment promises to immerse children and adults into the magical, mystical world of Vikings and dragons in a never-before-seen arena setting that soars through oceans, valleys and vista mountain tops and spans more than 20,000 square feet of incredible set design.
