Sleeping Beauty- WPF

I admit is a bit ghetto, but my younger son naps on our Thomas the Train mini-couch in the downstairs half-bath. I know. Not gonna win me mom-of the year, but I have my reasons. It is dark in there, the fan blocks out all surrounding noise, and his brother can nap or have quiet time in heir shared room with disturbing him. Practical, but still kinda ghetto. The best thing about him sleeping in there is the moment his nap is done. When he wakes up, he gets
up from the couch, pushes the door open (I leave it cracked), and emerges from the dark bathroom to come find me. And while it is super cute when he melts into mama’s arms and cuddles while he s waking up, my favorite moment is that moment he first steps out of the bathroom. He is disoriented and half-asleep and his hair is all disheveled but he looks SO incredibly cute I can hardly stand it!! I love this moment so much that recently I sat on the couch, camera ready, and snapped this picture to preserve this memory of my little sleeping beauty. Ghetto or not, it makes me smile.

Kids waking up from naps and morning will always remain the 8th wonder of the world to me-why in the world when they wake up-and I mean the very SECOND they wake up-do they immediately get up and start their days? It never ceases to amaze me!
He is so adorable…and so grown up!
