Out to the Picture Show

I love going out to the movies…but I don’t like to pay $9 per person. If you throw in the cost of dinner, popcorn, and a babysitter, going out for dinner and a movie just isn’t justifiable these days. So you can imagine my excitement when Picture Show @ Bloomingdale opened up this past weekend. Located at the corner of Army Trail and Schmale roads in Bloomingdale, ticket prices are $1.75.
Of course, these are second run films. But with kids at home I don’t manage to get out often enough to hit the new releases anyway. Plus, I’d rather wait a month and keep my $18. Picture Show opened with titles like “Star Trek” and “Up.” Even better, the theater is newly renovated.
I haven’t been yet, but as soon as I can sneak away I’m going to splurg on that $1.75 ticket. Have you been? What did you think?
