Wanna catch up on Dupage County news… here are some of the top local news stories this week.
School is just around the corner and the city of Naperville is steppin’ up the safety.
And speaking of school, fall means football! High school football 
season starts August 28th! Go out and support your favorite team!
Upcoming local events-
Day Out with Thomas- This weekends (August 22-23) at the IL Railway Museum. Tickets are still available for this Saturday and Sunday. Surprise your little engineer with a day they won’t soon forget.
Glen Ellyn Shopping Trolley- This Saturday, August 22nd from 10am-5pm. The trolley will make several stops in downtown GlenEllyn and at the Festival of the Arts at Lake Ellyn. This festival looks amazing. Check out this list of all the artists who will be featuring their work there. What a great opportunity to support local artisans and business people! I’ll be riding Thomas the Train with my family, but if you go, let us know what cool things you find there.
And speaking of art in Glen Ellyn, the Madonarri Off Main Chalk Art Festival is also this Saturday
All-Night Flea Market- Saturday August 22nd at the Dupage County Fair grounds starting at 5pm.
6th Annual Skater’s Picnic- Saturday September 5th in Naperville. Open skating, free picnic lunch, a doughnut eating contest… sounds like a good time to me. 
Disney on Ice 100Years of Magic- September 8th-13th at 7pm at the United Center
